Lattice Consulting was launched by our Founder, Michael Wagoner, to provide organizations with greater transparency related to their transformation initiatives.
As an alternative professional services provider that is vendor-agnostic, Lattice Consulting focuses on maintaining objectivity throughout the entire transformation process including solution design and implementation.
By seeking first to understand our clients' business opportunities, challenges, and requirements, rather than promoting a specific technology, we can collaboratively develop solutions and alternatives that are tailored to our clients' needs.
As we are not a hardware or software reseller, we strive to maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with a variety of resourcing and technology partners who can support specific client requirements.
About the name: In physics, a crystal lattice refers to the arrangement and structure of atoms, ions, or molecules in a solid. Lattices exhibit various shapes and symmetries, and the lattice structure can impact interactions with the surrounding environment. For example, the lattice structure can impact the strength or flexibility of the solid, its electromagnetic properties, optical properties, and other characteristics.
At Lattice Consulting, we believe the structure of an enterprise program and the architecture, as well as the transparency with which the initiative is undertaken, can positively impact your organization and drive more successful outcomes.

Michael launched Lattice Consulting to help clients design effective transformation programs and mitigate risks that frequently occur when organizations select, implement, and deploy new technology solutions as part of those programs.
With more than 25 years in the management consulting profession, Michael has helped a breadth of clients across the Fortune 500, Russell 1000, and Russell 2000 navigate a wide variety of technology implementation challenges. Michael works to align executives, internal and external teams when undertaking new initiatives, and in situations where conflicts or challenges may have arisen during the implementation.
Given his extensive background in enterprise architecture, he possesses the ability to perform deep dives with technical teams to clarify objectives, make informed decisions about technology, and resolve technical issues. He has experience implementing multiple ERP packages, data governance solutions, data integrations, and custom software solutions.
Prior to founding Lattice Consulting, Michael was a Managing Director in Grant Thornton's IT Strategy practice, where he developed technology roadmaps, conducted software selections, and led implementations. He also helped clients realize IT-related value in the M&A lifecycle, supporting pre-close IT due diligence, Transition Service Agreement (TSA) term analysis, negotiations, and establishment of standalone and integrated IT environments. Previously Michael worked in the IT Turnaround practice at AlixPartners, as well as the CIO Services practice at Deloitte.
Michael completed his MBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago.
